Disappointed with class 12 results, 2 students attempt suicide in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: Two students who were disappointed with their class 12 examination results attempted suicide today. The students were rescued and were admitted to CMCH here for treatment.

Priya lives at Police quarters in CSI School road here and she was disappointed with her class 12 examination results. She attempted suicide by jumping from the top of her residential building. Her mother Jayalakshmi who works as a constable at all women police station here saw this and she rescued Priya. Though saved, Priya suffered an injury in her hands and Jayalakshmi suffered a minor head injury. Priya was admitted to CMCH here for treatment.




Similarly, Angelin Jenifer B, who lives near Singanallur here was disappointed with her class 12 examination results and she attempted suicide by drinking phenyl. Later, neighbours rushed her to CMCH here for treatment.
